Our Location
The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave are in Lookout Mountain Park, 30 minutes west of Denver. The museum offers free parking and accommodates cars, campers, trailers, buses, and bicycles.
Directions
From Denver:
Take I-70 west to exit 256. Turn right at the top of the ramp and then make an immediate left. Follow this to South Lookout Mountain Road. Turn right and travel approximately four miles. The museum will be on your left after passing the Lookout Mountain Picnic Shelter.
From Golden:
Take 19th Street west, toward the mountains. This will turn into the Lariat Loop Historic Byway/Lookout Mountain Road. Follow this to the top of the mountain. The museum is the first possible right driveway at the top of the hill.
From the West:
Take I-70 east to exit 254 (Genesee Park). Turn left at the top of the ramp and cross over the highway. Turn right onto US 40 (first right after the highway offramp) and follow this to South Lookout Mountain Road. Turn left and travel approximately four miles. The museum will be on your left after passing the Lookout Mountain Picnic Shelter.

Public Transportation
At this time there is no public transportation to the museum. Options include renting a car, taking a taxi, or using a rideshare service. (Please note that there may be a delay in scheduling a rideshare pick-up from the museum.) There are local tour companies that offer tour packages which include the museum as one of their stops: Colorado Sightseer, Inc, Meandering with Mary, and Aspire Tours.
